Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in December 2019 reached 24,113 visits, an increase of 7.94 percent compared to those who came in November 2019 reaching 22,340 visits.
• December 2019 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utaraincreased by 10.68 percent compared to the same period in 2018, from 21,787 visits in 2018 to 24,113 visits in 2019
• In December 2019, tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 13,081 visits or 54.25 percent of the total tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.
• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of five-star hotels in Sumatera Utara in December 2019 reached an average of 51.09 percent, down 1.00 points compared to November 2019 of 52.10 percent.
• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in December 2019 reached 1.38 days, down 0.13 points compared to November 2019.
• The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara via Kualanamu International Airport during December 2019 reached 220,846 people, down 3.92 percent compared to November 2019 which reached 229,847 people.
• The number of passengers of inter-island sea transportation departing in December 2019 was 16,496 people, up 126.84 percent compared to the previous month of 7,272 people.
