Abstract

The increase in the HDI of North Nias 2024 occurred in all dimensions, including longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and a decent standard of living.
All dimensions that make up the HDI experienced an increase, especially decent living standards and knowledge.
In the dimension of longevity and healthy living, babies born in 2024 can expect to live up to 72.30 years, an increase of 0.25 years compared to those born in the previous year.
On the knowledge dimension, the expected years of schooling (HLS) of the population aged 7 years increased by 0.30 years compared to the previous year, from 13.36 to 13.37 years, while the average years of schooling (RLS) of the population aged 25 years and over increased by 0.20 years, from 6.85 years to 7.05 years in 2024. The data source for HLS and RLS uses the results of the March Susenas.
The dimension of decent living standards as measured by the average real expenditure per capita per year (adjusted) increased by 401 thousand rupiah (5.91 percent) compared to the previous year. The data source of real expenditure per capita per year uses the results of the March Susenas.
