Economic Growth of Nias Utara Regency in 2024

The economy of Nias Utara in 2024 increased by 3.64 percent, experiencing a slight slowdown compared to 2023, which recorded an economic growth of 3.79 percent.

Based on the production approach, the highest growth was achieved by the Public Administration, Defense, and Mandatory Social Security sector, which increased by 6.37 percent. This was followed by the construction sector with a growth of 5.55 percent, and the Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles sector with a growth of 5.45 percent.

The three sectors that played a dominant role in the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) by Industrial Origin of Nias Utara Regency in 2024 were: the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector at 52.73 percent; the Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles sector at 12.15 percent; the construction sector at 8.82 percent; the Public Administration, Defense, and Mandatory Social Security sector at 7.43 percent; and the mining and quarrying sector at 6.08 percent.
