Abstract

  • The 2021 Human Development Index (HDI) has increased compared to the previous year. North Nias Regency's HDI 2021 is 62.82 or grew 0.74 percent (an increase of 0.46 points) compared to the 2020 HDI.
  • The 2021 HDI increase is supported by improvements in all components its constituents. This is different from the previous condition. In 2020, the pandemic COVID-19 has caused a slowdown in HDI growth due to by a decrease in adjusted per capita spending. In 2021, spending per capita has crept up 1.50 percent compared to 2020.
  • In terms of education, in 2021 7 year olds have hope can enjoy education for 13.04 years or its equivalent time to complete Diploma I education. This figure has increased by 0.01 years compared to 2020 which reached 13.03 years. In addition, the average length of school population aged 25 years and over also increased by 0.19 years, from 6.58 years to 6.77 years in 2021.
  • From a health perspective, babies born in 2021 have hope to live up to 69.55 years, 0.12 years longer than those born in the previous year.
