The economy of North Nias Regency in 2021 will increase by 2.02 percent. An increase compared to 2020 which experienced a slowdown in growth.
Based on the production approach, the business sector with the highest growth rate was achieved by the information and communication business sector at 6.45 percent, followed by the wholesale and retail trade sector; car and motorcycle repairs amounted to 4.81 percent, followed by the electricity and gas procurement business sector at 3.68 percent.
Three business fields that give a dominant role to the GRDP of North Nias Regency according to business fields in 2021 are: agriculture, forestry, and fishery business fields by 52.25 percent; wholesale and retail trade; car and motorcycle repairs by 11.67 percent; and construction by 9.09 percent.
When viewed from the expenditure approach, the largest growth was for the inter-regional export component of 4.98 percent, followed by the inter-regional import component of 3.30 percent and gross fixed capital formation of 3.15 percent. Meanwhile, the government consumption component contracted by 0.02 percent.
Based on the expenditure side, the household consumption expenditure component (PKRT) gave the largest contribution, amounting to 76.47 percent; following the import component between regions by 56.31 percent; and the component of gross fixed capital formation of 30.55 percent.
In nominal terms, the GRDP of North Nias Regency in 2021 based on current prices reached Rp. 3,875.07 billion and the GRDP of North Nias Regency in 2021 at constant prices reached Rp. 2,417.20 billion.
